I’m writing this in an Espresso House, not a Starbucks. You don’t see them in Sweden much presumably because the incumbents are so well entrenched. Espresso House in particular are absolutely everywhere.
5 8kr for this filter coffee and muffin in case you were wondering which is dear though.

Starbucks is a terrible place to go for a cup of coffee.

Weird. I didn’t realize that US operations were so isolated. I just had Tim Horton’s yesterday.

You're just going there for a space to sit though. The coffee is a kind of extra. Espresso House is a much more welcoming environment and the coffee is better too.

I’m still surprised by how some cities or countries absolutely rejected starbucks... I think Australia was adamant at the beginning, and in the entirety of Galicia there are 3 Starbucks locations. People there just really like the local chains and independently owned shops.

I get my coffee from a Mom and Pop place for the last 15 years. Even when I moved to Maryland I had them ship me stuff. My officemates used to fight over the bags. I had one guy hand me a $20 for a bag that was $15 and he said the $5 was the handling fee.
